Next quarterly Competition finalised

Gents, the next comp will be a medal format but don't worry we've split it in to best front and back nines.

Over the 13 weeks just play as normal but your front and back nines will be recorded everytime you submit a score, in stableford comps where a no score has been entered a "9" will be used for each blob to determine your score.

At the end of the 13 weeks your exact current handicap will be entered and multiplied by 4 and taken off your gross score.

Big Bird triumphant in wake of Wag trouble

With quite a good turnout for the final day of the eclectic there was only one winner, step up to the fore BIG BIRD who after bottling the chance to PAR the 7th after hitting the green and nearly being killed on the 13th by drive over the trees from his nearest rival the Bird took on the trees on the 14th, luckily cleared them and proceeded to birdie the hole to put him in front on countback. Another birdie on the 15th clinched the the title for the big man as a lack lustre putting performance from Disco Stu who actually PAR'd 9 holes in his round with 3 birdie putts missed on holes that were in need of birdies, the dream of becoming the 1st eclectic winner fizzled out when the wind suddenly changed to a strong northerly making the final 3 holes very difficult.

Prize giving will be held at Barnham Broom on Sunday the 25th March as the 16 "eclecticeer's" have a free weekend of golf and alcahol and a little mini tournament of which the format has yet to be decided.

Meet at Gorleston Golf for 9.00 before moving on half a mile to the Toby Carvery for a quick pit stop and breakfast.

Tee time for Sunday is High Noon and Monday we go at 10am.

Could all petrol receipts be kept, these can then be exchanged for mushrooms from Troy's plate.

See you next week boys....
