Spring Stableford Week 13

With 22 of us making the final day of this quarters competition and with it also being Presidents Day at the golf club the final result was almost done and dusted but with a late withdrawal from Blakey it left the door slightly ajar for Howard to sneak in and steal 2nd place with a fine 37 points which gave him a 3 point gain and he leap frogged Old Blakey, Howard will now be known in the society as "Butler" for the sole reason that Blakey can say. "I hate you Butler" every week.

Congratulations go out to the winner, Geoff Pilgrim with a total of 185 points, one of only 2 ever presents over the 13 weeks along with Rooty. It must be said that Geoff has played consistantly well with only 2 scores lower than 30 and they were 28 & 29.

A quick mention also to Ian Utting for his first shot of the day nearest the pin winner on the 11th, Martin Bullen for his nearest the pin in 2 on the 9th, Geoff Pilgrim for the longest most accurate drive on the 10th and it would have been a clean sweep for the society if B-B-B-Blatchy hadn't blobbed holes 4 & 5 on purpose to avoid doing a winners speech for the Presidents Putter.

Well done to all those and of course the rest of us for making Sunday mornings better than going to church.
